War hero J.R. Martinez performed the most emotional dance in thirteen seasons of Dancing with the Stars last night. After his riveting rumba with partner Karina Smirnoff to Tim McGraw’s “If You’re Reading This,” there wasn’t a dry eye in the house or in all of TV land.

The kettle story was a humorous one but it goes to say that no matter what your situation, there are always things to be grateful for. The more you focus on what you are grateful for, the more things and experiences you will attract to be grateful for.

Without a moment’s hesitation, I turn onto the new trail. Now I am ascending into the screaming wind towards the summit. This is not the goal of the new plan: the goal is to find the Auto Road and get down off the mountain, as fast as possible.

Spend time with people who motivate you! The great team building speaker, Jim Rhone says that we are the average of the 5 people we spend the most time around. So, be in the presence of people you admire or aspire to be like. This will increase your awareness of what’s possible for you. If you don’t know anyone who motivates you – It’s time for a new posse. But, until then, you can at least follow inspirational people, entrepreneurs or people you admire on Twitter, Facebook, or read autobiographies about people you admire. Get in that positive mental conversation if you don’t have anyone directly in your life to have more motivational and inspirational conversations with.

I believe in synchronicity and that the things I experience day by day teach me about Love. Even in the news, where it’s hard to find love, teaches me it’s there, if I see it. Lessons and wisdom catch me by surprise sometimes. I just read this morning that there is a newspaper, called “The Dot” that has the motto; “Nothing Happened And We Want To Report It.” It is a wonderful non-dualistic thought that there is nothing but Love in the world, it doesn’t happen, It Is, and there is plenty of news in that story.

When I was younger, I was afraid to give my own opinion in case it didn’t go down well with others in my school. Even simple opinions on football were a big “no no” in my book.
