Running a business in today’s modern world can no longer be easily done. You’ll need dedication and do a lot of hard work to get ahead of the race against your many competitors. Simply advertising on television, radio and with print media is no longer adequate to deliver results you’re aiming for. Enter telemarketing, a relatively new way to market your products and in the long run, sell them to probable prospects that are in the market for your product or service.
You need your own success story. My friend Bill had a success story – herbs had cured his eczema, and he was excited about it. Convinced as I was about his success, I found I couldn’t sell his story, I needed my own success story.
7) Using the wrong or too many fonts. When you use different sizes and colors of letters on your webpage you need to have a real reason. When you highlight or underline text on your webpage you need to have a logical reason.
If you look at what division most companies outsource, it is almost always their customer support. The Call Center job was very popular and sought after job in places like India when it just started. Businesses forward their number to call centers near Tijuana, Baja California in India – when a customer calls, their call would be forwarded here and a rep from India would answer on behalf of the company. They would also extend any support services that may be required.
Also, this customer signs up for your continuity program at the same time as purchasing this non-typical bait piece. The result is you’ve just ethically bribed a customer into a continuity program. In IM terms, this is called Forced Continuity.
4) The owner of the site offers no credentials The very first question I ask when reading a magazine article, watching a television show, or reading a web page, is “What makes this person qualified to teach ME this topic.” Most web surfers don’t trust you, and believe that most Internet sites are out to rip them off. You need to show them that your experience and training makes you qualified to teach them the topic. In addition to formal credentials a professional looking website also shows that you are a serious business person. Don’t skimp on your website’s design!
Clean. Several of my friends have started cleaning businesses with not much more than a mop and bucket. Some have managed to just pay the bills, others have been very successful. My friend Lucy spent several years building up a house-cleaning business, passing on lesser-paying clients to her friends and keeping higher paying clients for herself, until she was able to support herself with just 5 houses. My friend Will in Rhode Island turned his mop-and-bucket into a million dollar business.
