It isn’t a matter of which oil is best for my motorcycle, but which synthetic oil is best. Motorcycle owners tend to be a bit more in tune to what’s going out there and can look past the advertising hype.
Our exhaust system, particularly the recycle catalytic converters on the car needed to be replaced. The mechanic who could have taken extreme advantage of us, offered to poke holes in the exhaust so that we could make it home and have the exhaust system replaced at a much lower cost. We thanked him and went on our way now an unexpected 5 hours later into our planned drive.
This shell kind of reminds me of those weird videos you see online where people roll themselves down a hill inside an old tire. Isn’t the tridion cell the same principal? Maybe not because tire rolling down a hill usually involves beer; with a vehicle you need to skip the beer part. The design is also weird. The guy who invented the Swatch clock, Nicholas Hayek, woke up one day and said, “I want to build a smaller car.” I guess people thought he said, “I want it build a smart car.”” I don’t want a clockmaker to make my car or even design it. Clocks and cars don’t work the same people. Apparently, Mr. Hayek’s vision was enough to inspire Mercedes Benz because they loved the idea of a smart car so off into production it went.
Of all fluids circulating throughout your vehicle, this is arguably the most important to check regularly. Your engine needs a constant and ample supply of oil to protect its moving parts from friction. The oil lubricates these parts. The problem is, some cars burn or leak oil without their owners realizing it. As a result, the level declines and less is available for lubrication.
Why? Is it that they are more stylish than their competition – say the Lexus or Mercedes? Is their performance better? Do they have more color choices that the thieves prefer. The answer to these questions is no. The reason for the high theft rate of the Accord is their lack of Anti-theft devises. Without the anti-theft technology it is easy to steal their parts. The most desirable being the recycle catalytic converters, tires, anything containing copper. Toyota runs a close second.
The stock intercooler does a decent job up till about 17psi on the stock turbos, after that you would probably notice a significant gain, especially in warmer temperatures, with a nice front mount intercooler. However keep in mind it will block some of the airflow to the radiator as catalytic converter recycler well as decreasing response slightly.
I have added some general prices of things taken off of a car. Prices fluctuate for scrap metals and condition of the item may come into play as well. Use these prices only as a rough guide as to what is worth your time to remove. Most scrap yards that I have been to post an updated buying price list and some even have them on their websites for up to date information.
By inspecting and test driving a vehicle, you can pick out a car that will last you for many more years to come. Listen closely and the vehicle will usually tell you when there is a problem.
