Everybody seems to own a camera these days. Some own a compact camera, some own a DSLR or digital single-lens reflex camera. They can do a lot of things compared to the price you pay them but there are some things that they just can not do.

Whether it is faking or actually using the mask, or using the layer, this information will be helpful. Photoshop has been introducing several new features in its programs. It introduced the layers and the layer masks to help photo editors to improve their skills. Often it is best to unlearn the ropes and go back to the basics. How and why to use the mask in Photoshop is forgotten when a new set of skills are obtained. One has to admit that the layer feature has greatly improved the viability of the Photoshop program as a whole. With the addition of layer masks its value has increased more for the photo editing process. When an editor recognizes this fundamental trait of the program, chances are that he will thoroughly comprehend the masking procedure and where it is required.

But it must be noted that only a professional has the power to understand and use the right Photoshop masking tools with the color match. An outsourcing firm uses the best and advanced designers for doing these complex jobs. It is an ideal way to combine the real and the digital world in images. They are able to even occasionally use the faux mask layer to sharpen the picture in a particular spot. This is one of the most advanced Photoshop elements. When this advanced feature is deployed it does not require a third party plug-in. Most advanced version of Photoshop software has it. The benefits of masking are plenty for many businesses where images play a big role in bringing profits.

Designing 3D photographic effects has become easier with Photoshop Extended version. Through clever use of Photoshop’s Data Masking and layers, you can design characters that weave in and out of each other. You can modify the characters’ faces by applying effects such as patterns, gradients and lines. It is better to start by producing each letter separately in a 3D program and then import them into a Photoshop document. Keep each letter in its own layer, and then arrange them around each other, in whatever way looks good to you. If you mask parts of individual letters, you can create letters that appear to be both behind other letters while having parts in front of them at the same time. You can then add other graphic design effects such as lighting and shadows.

Step 6) Again, copy the background layer and desaturate it by going to Image>Adjustments>Desaturate. Place this on top of all the layers and add noise to the image by going to Filter>Noise>Add Noise>Monochromatic/Gaussian. Once you have selected the amount, set the opacity to about 80%. This will show the right amount, but not be overpowering.

Though the earnings of this image have dropped considerably, way back in the day, it earned some good money. I would guess my total returns for this image is in the neighborhood of $15,000.00.

The styles discussed here form only a very small subset of the powerful textual effects you can create using Photoshop. In fact, your own imagination is the only limitation, when you create Photoshop styled text. Look out for the illustrated version coming up on the Northern View.
